We woke up on Monday morning to a fresh dusting of around 10cm of snow. Not super fluffy dry snow, but equally not mushy spring stuff either. Just average nice new snow. The first few runs in the early morning were a little cool and the snow was nice. It softened up as the day went on, but then we headed higher and to slopes with a more northerly exposure and the snow was nice again.
All in a fantastic day, we were all finding ur ski legs again, Fin had his new skis to get used to and he has never liked skiing in deep snow, but he gave it a real good go and was super brave at times.
I'll post more about what I think of the ski area when we're finished here. We have one more day skiing (Tuesday) and as we sit here in the room looking up the mountain we can see some blue sky behind a layer of cloud. Maybe we'll get some sunshine today, maybe not, but whatever we are out to enjoy what the mountain has to throw at us.
For the time being, please enjoy some video edits from Monday at Fernie.
